The Hitching Company has been in business for over 20 years providing beautiful horse and carriage rides through downtown Minneapolis. Guests love relaxing during the informative carriage rides through the city for a half hour ride.
It’s commonly used for special occasions or romantic dates nights and even marriage proposals. They offer tours all year with various schedules in the fall and winter compared to the spring and summer.
Carriage Ride Info
Carriage rides can accommodate up to 4 adults. They last a half hour unless you opt for a higher price point package. The Taste of the City Tour for a half hour is $55 while the Grand City Tour is one hour and costs $105, commonly used for special occasions or for those that want to indulge. They’ll give you a blanket during chilly night rides too.
Be sure to make a reservation in the fall and winter for Friday and Saturday nights in order to give the horses, drivers and staff enough notice to accommodate your ride. Your tour options typically include one that goes through the cobblestone street of St. Anthony Main through the Mill District, Warehouse District and Nicollet Island Inn while the other going from downtown through Nicollet Mall, Loring Park, The Basilica and Orchestra Hall.
Hours start at 6:30pm Mondays, Thursday and Fridays while starting at 4:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Rides go until 10:30pm every day except Fridays and Saturdays in which rides go until 11:30pm.
