Where can you find a great skate park around Minnesota? Those that want to practice on the half pipe may not know where to go to find one. Many skate parks are found through word of mouth but below you can find a list of some of the places to find them around the state. Whether you want to bike or skate, whether you’re new or experienced, here is a look at the skate parks around Minnesota that is the perfect place to work on your skills.
Overpass Skate Park – 100 Washington Avenue South, Hopkins
Over in Hopkins, MN is the Overpass Skate Park featuring a city-owned skate park. It’s operated by the staff and features an awesome location where you’ll be protected from the rain. Boards and bikes are welcome and you may even want to try their summer camp for BMX and scooters for all skill levels.
Zero Gravity Skatepark – 5341 Maywood Road, Mounds
The Zero Gravity Skatepark is found in the city of Mounds and it’s unique in that it’s free to use. You’ll find the basic concrete to practice on your board or bike. Check out the wooded backdrop for those looking to take videos.
3rd Lair Skatepark and Skateshop – 850 Florida Avenue South, Golden Valley
Located in Golden Valley is 3rd Lair, one of the best skate parks in the state. It’s known for being a great community and featuring a street course, indoor and outdoor ramps. Check out the hardcore skaters, the family events and the place for beginners to try a new sport. It tends to get overcrowded due to its popularity.
