New D.R. Horton Community Being Planned For Woodbury MN
News broke earlier today about national home builder D.R. Horton transforming 128 acres of Woodbury farm land into a sprawling new 400 home community along Pioneer Drive.
According to reports from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, the land in which the new housing community is being planned was purchased by Miami-based entity Woodbury ACS LLC, which is essentially acting as the buyer for D.R. Horton. Also noted was that the land purchase was actually broken down into two separate transactions—100 acres for a purchase price of $7.7 million, and the remaining 28 acres for $2.2 million.
While additional details about the new D.R. Horton community in Woodbury, MN are still limited, other news outlets are reporting the new development will be called Copper Ridge. Should everything go according to plan, the new community will be D.R. Horton’s first major project in the Woodbury area, even despite already having 24 other communities in the entire Twin Cities region.
At a time when inventory is low, especially for new construction homes, and job and economic growth throughout the Twin Cities is strong, the development of Copper Ridge can’t come soon enough. As of now, however, no information is available about when construction might begin or when first homes will be delivered.
