Construction For Lennar’s Ridge Creek Community Set to Begin This Summer
Lennar Corp. is continuing to expand its reach within the Twin Cities area as reports have recently surfaced about a new proposal that could bring as many as 104 more single-family homes to a 79-acre site down in suburban Shakopee.
According to Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, the Shakopee City Council has already approved a preliminary plan for what will likely be Lennar’s latest single-family home community in the region, which for now is being called Ridge Creek.
The building site for Ridge Creek is situated just east of Pike Lake Road, in between Eagle Creek Boulevard and County Road 21. When fully built-out, Ridge Creek will feature a nice mix of three and four-bedroom homes, which will also involve adding a number of Lennar’s NextGen homes that are specifically designed to feature an additional suite for guests and family members, such as aging parents for example.
Ridge Creek will also have 38 acres dedicated to open park and wetland areas, further adding to the community’s appeal and overall community vibe. Construction for the first phase is already set to begin sometime this summer with first deliveries planned for sometime in early fall.
