Children in northern Andover attend schools administered by St. Francis, ISD 15. St. Francis Elementary, serving 712 children, rates 9 stars out of a possible 10 at GreatSchools.org. Parents appreciate the hands-on attitude of the school’s principal and the many opportunities for parent involvement. St. Francis High School scored particularly high in the math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment-II (MCA-II). Students that don’t attend ISD 15 schools attend those a dministered by Anoka-Hennepin, ISD 11. These schools include:

• Andover Elementary – Children love this school for its chorus, computer and theatre arts classes and ceramics class.
• Rum River Elementary – One of the few elementary schools in Minnesota to receive a GreatSchools rating of 9 stars. Parents, on the other hand, give the school maximum points – five stars.
• Crooked Lake Elementary – Students here score consistently high in reading. In fact, their scores exceed Minnesota’s average.
